Mount Doom: The Quest is a precision platformer across five worlds. Collect the Rings of Power, outrun the timer, evade the orcs, and reach the Eye of Sauron before time runs out. But beware the One Ring: it grants speed at a terrible cost.

Features

• 50 hand-tuned levels across 5 worlds: the Shire, Rivendell, Moria, Helm's Deep, and Mount Doom.
• The One Ring: hold Shift for speed and a higher jump, but Sauron's gaze drains your timer twice as fast.
• Orcs you can stomp, Mario style.
• Lembas for time, Athelas for lives.
• Checkpoints, saved progress, and level select.

The story behind it

This game started as my daughter's high-school final project.

She was 16. She had the idea, and she wrote the first version of the code herself, by hand, with no AI. She fused two worlds she loves: Super Mario and The Lord of the Rings.

I took what she built and ran with it. With AI, we grew it into fifty levels across five worlds.

Her idea became a game you can actually play. That was always the point.
